Big Beam

Every organisation needs a leader who will take charge, make decisions and ensure standards are met. I am that person. It takes a lot of commitment and brains to become a Brigadier, something that my assistant Phosphorus often forgets.

Because I have so much responsibility I need time off to get on to the golf course with my electric golf buggy. Because I have a buggy I don’t do it for the exercise, I just like hitting a little white ball as hard as I can, it is just marvellous.

I think the young people at the lampposts are very important, young blood you know, can’t do without it.

Captain Brightlight is very young for the position of Captain and the responsibility of Lamppost HO32 but he seems to do a very well, for a youngster.

On his first day he did an excellent job in defending his new lamppost from the Roons in Episode 1 ‘Captain Who?’.

But sometimes the younger ones do step out of line. In Episode 13 ‘Decoy’ young Livewire from HO32 put herself in great danger of being captured by the Roons.

I was myself at the time letting the Roons think they had captured me, but of course I could have got away at anytime. Something Livewire failed to understand. But that’s the young for you.
